Candescence is a pleasing collection of original orchestral compositions in a Romantic Classical style. Mr. Davis demonstrates a flair for mixing live instrumentation with electronic sounds produced from sampling the tonalities of other musical instruments. With a good blend of lively and more relaxed compositions, after several plays of the CD, this reviewer found his favorites to be... "In My Heart;" "Yearning;" "Return of the Brave;" "The Fallen."

For those who enjoy light classical music, Candescence will make a welcome addition to ones collection.

On a personal note... I would have enjoyed if Mr. Davis had included some brief description of each piece, or perhaps his inspiration for them. On the other hand... I can understand that, as an Artist, he may prefer that each listener decide for themselves any meaning between the music and titles.
