Music to chase away the grayest of winter days and shine forth with the warmth of spring! Michael Straugh truly enthralls listeners with the passion in his playing in "True North." He's composed, arranged and played a collection of beautiful instrumental songs which are truly the music of life. Complex piano melodies played with grace and passion to delight the senses.

Favorite Tracks include the delightful joi de vive of (1) "Against the Shore" which brings to mind a day at the beach with sun dappled waves dancing along the shore. And one must experience the exquisite wistful longing of (3) "If Only", the gentle embrace of (8) "Lullaby" or the companionship in every note of (10) "Sunday Mornings Here With You." Our musical journey ends with an absolutely dreamy track full of love aptly titled, (12) "With Eyes Closed."

Perfect music for relaxing on a Sunday Morning or any time a pleasant atmosphere is required, "True North" would be great for play in charming cafes, gift shops and art galleries, not to mention the hundreds of other practical uses for this charming CD!
